First Visit

We’re glad you’ve decided to start a long-lasting relationship with us at Geller Family Dental. Our practice welcomes new patients and works to create a positive experience for you. Part of easing your concerns is explaining what you can expect from our office and the care you will receive.

Let’s start by going over the components of your first visit:

  • During your first visit, you’ll become acquainted with our facility, our amenities and our professional staff.
  • Whether you’re coming alone or bringing your whole family as new patients, we will create a welcoming experience that shows you the level of care and comfort our practice embodies.
  • We consider your first visit with the start of a long-term relationship.

Our Office Experience

You can expect to feel at ease during your first visit to Geller Family Dental and every visit thereafter. We care both about your dental treatment and the person behind them. We take steps to address your concerns and create a relaxing atmosphere to overcome fear and provide a positive experience. Our goal is that you always feel comfortable at Geller Family Dental whether you are visiting us for a routine dental check up and cleaning, or whether your visit is for active dental treatment.

Our front desk staff work diligently to manage all of your dental insurance needs. We make sure your treatment is organized properly and efficiently with your dental insurance provider. If you have any questions at any point along the way, do not hesitate to ask a member of our team.

Our Dental Care

Your first visit is also about your dental health and oral hygiene. It’s an opportunity for us to understand the condition of your oral health and determine your needs to manage existing problems, prevent issues from developing and provide a continuing state of optimal oral health.

At Geller Family Dental, we believe in performing comprehensive dental exams. During your first visit, we will take digital x-rays, gently record the depth of your gums, and make additional assessments of your teeth and surrounding tissues. We want to get a complete picture of your oral health to find problems early and address them. We will also advise you on any improvements you could make to your oral hygiene, educate you on proper techniques, and recommend a variety of tools to utilize in order to achieve optimal oral health. Overall, our aim is to help you prevent oral and dental health problems and to manage or treat existing problems.

Throughout any visit to our office, you’ll have the chance to ask questions and voice concerns. This is the perfect time to let us know if you think you have certain issues with your oral health. You could also come to us for a second opinion on recommendations received from another dentist.
The goal of this visit is to provide us with the information we need to create a customized treatment plan for you. Some patients simply need regular and routine cleanings and will therefore follow basic recommendations for regular checkups. Others may have certain dental issues that require treatment, in which case we can design a customized treatment plan together that fits your needs.
